I have an idea: add pupils.

OK, so if we examine (the inside of) a cartoon head, what the heck would we find? Pulp? Initial sketch lines? A link to the head of the artist? The mind boggles.

Maybe he reads the comments. Many of the funny anecdotes from readers might make new strips.

Will we start seeing the avatars that people are using in the comic strip? Things such as the monkey next to this comment.

Leon breaking the fourth wall…but Earl can’t see it. It’s just as well, Earl would be too self conscious if he knew we were watching him every day.

Is this the first fourth-wall break? I feel like there have been a couple of others, but I can’t recall.

If Leon is the older one, does that mean “Big Brother” is watching us?

I see my life on here sometimes and it is my favorite comic.

Where else, but the true form of humor, is in everyday living…You should know that by now, Earl, living with Opal…..LOL

I totally beleave this! all to often do I find this strip talking about something that happened to me just a few days before.

Stephan Pastis’ fourth wall breaking in “Pearls Before Swine” is different. I enjoy both. They are each appropriate for the tone of their respective strips.

Tough these days without newspapers, but he downloaded an APP that somehow filters real news out of the babble.

Now I’m feelin’ violated.

I love this comic and was reading it when not many did and am so happy that so many more are reading it now. It’s in the top of my comic list.

I believe it! My husband and I are always seeing ourselves in these strips.

I sometimes think he peeks in our windows for ideas because sometimes I ‘see’ us in the strip.
