A good movie, but not realistic. In the real world, HAL would refuse to open the pod bay doors not out of malice, but because you hadnât installed the latest HAL system update, or because you hadnât disabled Adblock.
I think Steenz is capturing Middle School and all the basic characters very well so far. This DOES appear to be two totally different takes on the strip. But thatâs not necessarily a bad thing. I like BOTH drawing styles even though they are very different. For those who really love the Tatulli art style (which is crisp and kind of weird, imaginative storylines) you can always read Lio. He still feels strongly about that character and is continuing to draw that strip. While I love his drawing style, too, Lio is an interesting strip but not to my taste. I loved what he did with Heart for many years but clearly he wanted to move on! Iâm glad he placed it in good hands rather than turning it into Lio 2.0, which is the direction it was headed had he just chosen to stick with it. I was not a fan of all the âdream sequencesâ, stories it turned out Heart herself was writing or reading and events taking place in Heartâs imagination etc. To me that felt like Lio Revisited and not Heart of the City. So going forward we werenât going to get our beloved strip either way. But for those who miss that artwork style thereâs always Lio!
(anticipates seeing what might be the final Sunday installment for this âHeart of the Cityâ by whom I had believed to have had been its original creator and what might be its first Sunday installment from whom I had believed to had been the successor of the creator in spite of having had lost interest in seeing installments by whom I had believed to have had been the successor for calendar days other than Sunday; wishes wellness upon whom I had believed to have had been the successor).
Gawd just look at that background Just look at it It looks like something Dean would create as either CGI or on a computer with characters placed over it.
I mean I understand social distancing but really Dean? Fake backgrounds you drummed up so you and Heart can get together?
I know Steenz is doing her best but one thing that would really help to bridge her artwork to Tatulliâs is to get the hair right. Look at their hair in this cartoon. Both of them have straight hair. Deanâs is messy. Yet Steenz draws them with curly hair. It doesnât look right.
It really shouldnât surprise met that Dean built this suit, probably complete with medically filtered oxygen recyclers, and he actually looks good in it. He might be a trendsetter.
If thatâs a real respirator, good on Dean. I once had a guy in a robot suit faint on me at a con because of heat exhaustion. A Cyberman if you know DOCTOR WHO.
Ok Listen Iâm a fan of both iterations of the strip. For those fans loyal only to Markâs style Enjoy the strips that are left in peace And stop dogging Christinaâs New approach Because chances are none of us couldnât even come close to creating a comic strip Close to the level of Heart. We are all here to enjoy the comics we love If you choose to leave just go in peace
I must say this finally: unless you have young girls Heartâs age in your house, or they are your granddaughters visiting, you donât know how they look or how they communicate, becasue I do. One graddaughter just turned nine and the other one is eleven; and Steenz has got that talk, those hand gestures, that wardrobe, etc., down to a TâŠ. Plus our neighbor has three grandsons of similar ages, and they are just like Dean in the same way⊠So when they all get together they might as well be in this comic strip right now.

I enjoy Marks strips much better. I am probably going to delete it from my favorites when the transition is in complete.

Whats next? Computer models? Cute computer models?
BTW did Steenz provide the background?
And I did this as satire nothing more.

Look Dave, I can see youâre really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.
