Our cat is an incredible traditionalist. She would turn up her nose at the best cat food ever  if it wasn’t what  she expected at the time  and in the place  expected.
When old doxie was having stomach problems the vet recommended a S…D… I mixed it with the regular food and Rusty would scoop up a mouthful, spit it on the floor and pick out his regular bits, leaving the very expensive SD.
When I was a child on the farm we had 11 dogs and 17 cats, all outdoors. For some reason mom wouldn’t let us have any animals in the house. We had dog/cat food we put out plus our leftovers. There was a lot of enthusiasm when we fed them, and the only thing left in the dishes would be little mounds of jello.
Are you kidding here? Dogs will eat cat poo and love it, they eat rocks that need operations to remove them from the intestines, and they will usually scarf down any food.
My cat will scrape at the floor to try to cover up any food he doesn’t like. Then he looks in the bowl, and can’t understand why the food isn’t covered.
I had a yellow lab that wasn’t picky about what he ate, I didn’t buy cheap food for him but ended up having to put him on a diet to keep him under 100 lbs. Boy do I miss him. Louie deLabb was the best dog I ever had.

Yea Roscoe you made you’re point quite nicely by barfing. No need to add the Bronx Cheer.

Some dogs are known to eat garbage and poop, Roscoe must be a very picky eater.

Too bad she purchased 50 lbs of that stuff. Now she needs to see if Earl will eat it as snack food.

This is truly a comic strip. No pet (either dog or cat) ever vomited back in the bowl. It was always some place difficult to clean up.
