I’ve been going through old papers and this is not bad. I am fairly certain that I do not need my check register from my bank in Massachusetts from 1978. The issue is that many of these papers have personal information on them and even though they are old, I do not want to provide fodder for dumpster divers.
I have way too much for my personal shredder.
Normally I “shred” as I go along – usually I am guilty of “theft of services” from my employer. I “drop off” about one loose leaf binder worth of paper into their shred bin every month. I think I’ll have to hire a service to get rid of this backlog. It’s several cubic feet.
Timing is everything. Last fall, I boxed small tools and prepped the large items in my workshop to sell them come spring. Since February many of them have returned to use for household fixes and improvements to deck and yard, and I am kinda glad they didn’t hit the market. Having them eases the isolation blues, and I found that I would have missed them had they sold, so I am happy. All things in their proper time.
Aargh! They’ve closed the recycling center! My garage is full of paper, plastics, bottles, newspapers, and garden clippings, and I’ve been forced to park my car in the driveway!

I’ve been organizing my sewing room. The more I straighten, the worse it gets. I swear, Bartholomew Cubbins has moved in while I wasn’t looking.
