I see the ghost has some skeletons in his closet.
Seems like this incident was in Tarzan and the Forbidden City, or one of the novels around that time
Tarzan meets the Ghost Who Walks!
Knowing that there are no ghosts kinda takes the romance out of the story.
The Ghost Who Walks sports twin 1911s, and he knows how to use them. Never bring a knife to a gunfight, Ape-Man! (Oh, well. If only. Anything to enliven this story arc!) ;-)
The film crew could probably see through this SFx too.

It’s damn Sam the Riverboat man who has pulled this stunt before and escaped Tarzan’s vengeance. Maybe this time Tarzan will give him jungle justice!

Uh…just because a human being caused it doesn’t mean you run into it. Human beings cause brick walls too
