Well we saw your past, Heart. So what you said actually makes sense.

Last Wednesday we were told Heart miss out on signing up for drama club. Why would she have a part in a play?

Well, Mark would have had a great comic about Star Wars, Dean would be wearing his Darth Vader Costume, or storm trooper costume to school today…May 4 – Star Wars Day. This is a new day, and new road for Heart. Appreciate the color, it was kind of a mess in black and white.

Maybe I’m picky. (OK, I’m picky.) That is some forced dialog. “Remember that thing we both lived through and was super-emotional an dramatic, and important to us? Well, even though we’re close friends and both know all about it, let me explain it to you in bald exposition.”

I enjoy Steenz’ Heart a lot, but I wish she’d include Mrs. Angelini. Among the character designs that Steenz posted on Twitter, Mrs. Angelini was nowhere to be seen. I’m going to miss her.

I can’t wait for Bugs Bunny to transform into a real cottontail so he can join this strip. (th th, th th, th th, that’s sarcasm folks!)

Well, obviously not only is the artwork pedestrian and strange but the strip has yet to be funny even once. I’m out of here.

You have to be incredibly talented and irreplacable to get away with being an abusive diva. Heart is neither.

Couldn’t wait to get here. Still liking the artwork. Still waiting for the complainers to leave.

My local digital edition is in Color every Monday ONLY. Gannett Publishing still has the strip as being done by Mark Tatulli. I called them last Thursday and they still haven’t corrected it. Mystifying ‼️‼️‼️

I really liked this strip before the change, I can’t quite get the new feel for it.

I have to agree with the above comment. I used to love Heart with the other cartoonist. She and the other characters had a look and a kookiness that fit the strip. These new characters look fat, sluggish, and hard to distinguish. Dean looks like a girl! I’m out of here too.

Still getting used to this, but I really really wish Dean looked a little more like the old Dean version.

I haven’t said anything yet. I’m not going to quit reading Heart. The only thing is… Today is May 4th. I was truly hoping for a Star Wars reference because of Dean’s serious love of all things Star Wars. I am disappointed.

I used to get a warm fuzzy feeling reading Heart of the City. I feel anxious from the new artwork. Not enjoying the strip now. I shudder to think of what Mom will look like. And the other characters.. to drastic a change for me.

There’s a part of me that wishes there would be a “flashback” here to show what Dean’s talking about… I get a wry smile thinking about showing the two artists’ work related in the same strip. ;-) I’m glad Steenz recognizes and remembers Heart’s “past life.”
