Former girlfriend of mine discovered by accident how to deal with that kind of attitude. She bought a plaster sculpture of a cat with Egyptian jewelry, about two and a half feet tall, in a sitting position, and painted it gloss black (painted the jewelry gold). Set it in her living room facing the front door. When her sometimes-indoor-sometimes-outdoor cat came home, he froze in the doorway staring at it, before ve-e-ery cautiously tiptoeing as far around it as possible to get to the kitchen. (This being a small studio apartment, Hercules was basically walking on the walls.)
Never seen a cat that terrified of an obviously inanimate object, before or since.
Baby (one of the cats that came with my hubby) and Whitey (the other one) were at the top of his cat hierarchy. Then came all the kittens that were grown up by the time I saw them. However, Baby and Whitey did the voodiododo again and had more kittens. I was fascinated as I had never seen it happen. She had 6 of them but only 4 survived unfortunately. However we buried them in the backyard of my hubby’s parents (well he did).

If Opal likes purple cats, she’ll have to dye Muffin purple.

I have trouble worshipping a creature that hacks up hairballs and licks its butt.

It will look great buried together with Opal in a high and dry above ground temple with an Ankh shoved up its anal sphincter.

I used to have a feral cat hang around- named him “Earl” after you know who!

I’m guessing that the dog will get blamed for this too. Opal will never see the wrong the cat does.

SEE!! I spoke the truth when I said that cats were once treated as Gods and they have not forgotten that.
