    Good morning™, advisors!

Crystal is not shy to give her opinion. Notice that she reads the papers? (At least the headlines, apparently). Well, her dad does work with the police, so I suppose it’s part of her family life.

Blooper: The “Coffee” sign in the background has a stray “S” which apparently migrated up from the Espresso sign below. The top of the “E” should be visible above Crystal’s head, but also seems to have disappeared.

Crystal doesn’t see what her friend sees in Shaky…well, neither do I!

    Good morning™, mystery unravelers !

Edison is starting to see clearly. I can’t wait until he comes home one night to the inevitable “dear Shaky” letter.

Crystal is pretty wise for a kid, guess because of her past life she learned a lot more than most her age!

Her mother and her uncle have instilled in her some worldly wisdom.

Comics often make reference to newspapers. They are trying to keep the alive.

    1-CRYSTAL BETH: Ode to Coffee: I don’t think I’ve ever seen…

2-…anything so tasty as a coffee bean. It wakes you up and gets you goin…

3-…and through your colon, it’ll be blowin’. I wrote that. It succinctly covers all the benefits of coffee.

WHATSERNAME: No kiddin’. I thought it was by Joyce Killme. Or Elizabeth Barrett Brownshorts.

CRYSTAL BETH: You’d think, wouldn’t you. Nope. All me!

Lotta coffee consumed by talking heads in this strip.

Meanwhile back at headquarters (remember this IS a detective strip?), Tracy joins Sam for a looong conversation over a cup of Joe while Lizz (remember her?) accidentally sits on her stale jelly donut for comic relief.

The comely and delectable Edison and Crystal continue to jaw over their cuppa joes. Eventually they draw the attention of Paul Blart, legendary mall cop. He heads over in their general direction and conceals himself behind a potted palm tree. “Patience, Paul, patience…” he thinks to himself.

And so it goes, by gar, by gar…

Tune in tomorrow for the further adventures of Katy Keene, Harold Teen and maybe Archie. The Tracy strip will return after the pandemic.

Maybe Crystal will call Tracy and the MCU when she gets home… She did so the last time with Shaky…

Panel 2: the icy truth in Crystal’s advice begins to touch Edison, who could hardly look more emotionally down than she does here. Panel 3: she reluctantly begins verbalizing her feelings—the first step toward acting on them. Shaky Mk.2 maybe getting the boot sooner rather than later (for now, he lives mainly by sponging off the comely and delectable Edison Lighthouse while cheating on her with sly man-eater Fortuna Dyer, a.k.a. “Breathless Mahoney”)….
