The talking heads are still trying to tell us that little fall-out would fall on the US. When you consider that most of it will make that area West of the Cascade mountains and the Northern Sierra(?) mountains uninhabitable but leave most of the US untouched, I guess they are right. The WWII Balloon Bombs made it from Japan to the Cascades, I’m sure gassified iodine, strontium, et al, will find the way.

Can I get a suit to protect myself too? - No! You’re not allowed. Other civilians might see you and suspect that there’s something to worry about.

I must have a different set of acquaintances than the other commenters. I know houses you’d want the suit for the inside. But yes, I got the comic.

What the government doesn’t tell us. Put plastic over your windows and doors to protect your home from mild radiation.

If there’s nothing to worry about may I borrow your suit?

Hmm. This very joke was done by Berke Breathed in Bloom County, poking fun at the TMI accident. Well, it’s been a while. People forget.
