13 weeks in a retirement complex, never left the rooms but for testing, we are negative. All meals brought up. Not normal for sure. Brains addled, wife found herself dialing the tv remote control instead of the phone a couple times. When we got out…surreal. Less traffic, people looked like the living dead in masks, kind of a quiet. But we are out, not much about yet. Grateful for the care we got. Still unable to eat in the dining rooms but we will.
Henry is merely adopting the administration’s policy of a pandemic; just ignore it and it will go away. Remember, we only had 15 cases that will be close to zero just any day now, remember? Of course, that was in February and it’s now exactly mid-June.
I was out at a major shopping/department store yesterday, and aside from the employees, only about 10%, including me, were wearing masks. And we were all over 60. I just avoid people by steering clear around them with no problem. I am neither annoyed or inconvenienced, so I guess I don’t care – personal choice.
I noticed another merchandise store had signs up all over saying customers were not permitted to shop inside unless they were wearing a mask – and they were enforcing it at the doors. This is in Ohio.
This is a good example of how WANTING something to go away DOESN’T make it go away. People who flaunt the warnings are going to end up sick – or worse – guaranteed.
I think we all want COVID to go away. However, it’s bound to take time. Hopefully patience will pay off. My thoughts to all affected by the virus, too.

Overboard is located so far from reality that I was hoping it would stay clear of current problems.

Why no mask for Louie?

No mask for Louie? Already proven that cat and dogs can catch it, although be asymptomatic.

Set a course for Antarctica, Henry. Your chances are better for not getting infected. But don’t expect a warm welcome …

The virus sucks and all but the social distancing has been the best thing to happen to me in years.

I vote that Covid19 take a hike to the moon, and stay there.
