I’ve heard a story about a mom informing lots of relatives by text that “Grandma Susie passed away this morning. LOL.” The teenage daughter replies, “Mom! Why is that funny?” Mom says, “Of course it’s not funny! Why would you say that??” To which the daughter replies, “Mom, ‘lol’ means ‘laugh out loud.’ What did you think it meant?” “Oh no! I thought it meant ‘lots of love!’ I’ve got to send an explanation now…”
