Since Marx told the tale of Holly to kids in Endtown, they should know that she was not with Wally. In fact, they should know about Kirbee, Chic, and Irving.
But do they know that the comic is in the apartment?
And Kirbee plus Chic is going to be a load to carry.
The expression on her face does not bode well. :-( Are we to lose them both? Or just one? And…where are the ones being “collected” going to end up? When they get there, will they remember where they’d been? Poor Chic-hatched into a colony where he he might have been eaten on any given day. Surviving on his own. And Kirbee, although an adult in the same colony, too empathetic to fit in. Looked down on as a resault. Both finally finding a real family and love with each other and Wally.
If my memory services me correctly, Chic and Irvine were in the comic book BUT Kirby was not. That is why the tears in the female Max’s eyes. she can see by the way Kirby is holding on to Chic that there is love there and she does not want to break that up but they are there to get all those who were in the book.

What’s with the smoke or dust ? The city at the beginning of this arc is being destroyed ?

I thought the image of Chic & Irving running (& flying) to Kirbee was one of the poignant Endtown images we have seen.

I think Neathery topped that here.Marx giving Walt a fishing rod was up there, too.

Marxtress seems to be crying. This may not be an easy decision to make. No one wants to be the one to break up the team.

I’m still convinced that these two Marxes are looking at their Cardoodles counterparts.

What isn’t being shown is down the hallway, a bunch of langoliers are impatiently waiting for the Marx Family to get done.

On the other hand, this all could be just one big deus ex machina.
I don’t know why, but more and more, I think we’re seeing the end of the story.
And something about Aaron’s storytelling: Who were we supposed to be rooting for, anyway? Was it Wally and Holly? Wally and Kirbee? Walt and Portia?
Countless other characters in between?
Somehow, it seems as if we’ve reached a point where nothing really matters anymore!

The tear in the fabric of reality probably had a different effect on Marx if he/she was caught between dimensions…

When you gather up the two of them, don’t forget to gather up Irving, too.

You’d better save them.
