This makes me think of getting hit by ripe peaches as a kid (I grew up in an area with lots and lots of fruit trees, peaches being about my favorite). However, I remember that the peach fuzz would be quite irritating to my skin back then, such that I’d almost break out. Today, peach fuzz doesn’t bother me at all, and it doesn’t seem to be as thick on the individual peaches as I remember it being. I’m wondering if present day peaches have been cultivated so as to have less fuzz (which I’m sure most people dislike), or maybe my adult skin is less sensitive. Of course this could just be childhood versus adult perceptions (kind of like everything being bigger when we were kids).
