Coney says he owns the building and Fastrack says they own it. One of them has a deed that’s about as legitimate as a bill of sale for the Brooklyn Bridge. That needs to be looked into.
Since Coney says he has a deed in his midtown office, maybe today is just a site visit to the warehouse. Of course, he would have to bring a tub of ice cream to the warehouse with him.
Tom, in my comment above, was also the WKBW Buffalo weather guy.
His boy Dale and I were in the 6th grade together. One day they had a career day where parents were invited to come in and talk about their jobs. I believe house wife was a legitimate “profession” and I can’t remember who the different jobs were except Commander Tom, who made the 5 days a week showing on our tv. Missing from the vid link is how he had a Myna bird on that would talk in its crude bird like way. Our cat, Gaylord, used to stand on top of the tv looking for that bird.
The deed is likely a Quit Claim Deed with a forged signature. If Stooge was the former owner, Howdy could have had a signed document or two from his days as an employee.
One would think that when Fastrack made the purchase, that Title Searches were made. If it weren’t for someone shooting at Dethany, this would be a case for lawyers and not detectives
1-DT: You’re off to a good start but you should’ve brought a cone for each of us.
2-…I’m hoping this apparent cheapness won’t extend to the amount you’ll be paying my colleague for her security services – half of which go to me I might add. Also, she won’t ever actually be here. A fact I’m sure you’ll appreciate given her appearance.
3-FAT ARCHIE: CHOMP! There’s what I think of your extortion attempt. Now please leave the premises. We have work to do.
DT: You’re going to regret that! Let’s go, Deth.
DETH WARMEDOVER: What just happened? I thought we were going on another date. To the ice cream parlor.
So, Coney proclaims loudly that he holds the deed (but of course not here; rather, in his midtown office). That is something easily verified or disproven, as the case may be, by a legal Title Search. Fastrack has to get its Legal Department on the case, pronto! Meanwhile Tracy and Dethany should press their case, and maybe ask for some ice cream, just to frazzle Coney….

This is part of why real estate title is public record, recorded in a Registry of Deeds, or whatever it’s called in Tracytown.

I have to say, the fact he is eating an ice cream cone and has a supply in the office they are standing in makes his claim of deed appear very legit.

Dick should refer to Coney by his last name. “Good morning, Mr. Whippy.”

Ownership of property….corporation vs the little guy. Usually the corporation wins unless the little guy has a good lawyer.
