LMAO!!! XD I’ve felt like that after being under the drill at a certain dentist’s office. She’d greet me with “how can I torture you today.” (Not kidding, either). 8O

I didn’t like taking unnecessary drugs so I wouldn’t tell my dentist when the novacaine started to wear off. He figured it out for himself when my face drained if color and went pale white.“You need more.” “Uh huh.”

    The novocaine wasn’t very effective.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of those spitting sinks in a dentist’s office.

Next time put your hand between the dentist’s legs, gently squeeze and say “We’re not going to hurt each other”

I played “guinea pig” for a dental hygienist is college. It take maximum amount of novacaine to get me numb and it wears off fast. She was not quite finished when the drug started wearing off. She was in tears before she was done because she knew it was hurting.

I must have left a hole in the ceiling too when I was ten and the dentist finished a filling on a bottom tooth then noticed a tiny cavity on an upper tooth. He drilled it without freezing and hit a nerve. Don’t worry, he won’t get you he’s long dead now.

As one of my dental hygienists once said (paraphrasing), “We are about the only profession where, if something hurts, we keep doing it.”

The dentist was cleaning out a tooth where the filling had come out so he could refill it. He said this is just real quick, you won’t need any Novocain for this. I could still feel the jolt in my jaw two days later.

I don’t use novacain either. I like to transend dental medication.
