The problem is that instead of a Justice system, we have a legal system.

We don’t even have to have a judge; sometimes politicians do the same thing.

Now that is a great quote; almost worthy of Frederick Douglass.

Justice is blind. Most often it’s those who are to administer justice who choose to look the other and exercise their personal values and not look at all the facts (true facts) and not what I want or feel.

Sometimes it’s just distracted by the idiotic interpretations of the law by people who are supposed to have spent their time in law school actually studying its actual applications and the judges who offer unique interpretations. ‘Affluenza’ comes to mind.

In the sixth grade we learned that the role of the judicial branch of the government is to interpret the laws. It took me many years before I understood what that meant. When I finally figured it out it did not make me happy. It simply means that judges. juries, lawyers and even policemen can interpret a law to mean about anything they want it to mean. When it gets to the Supreme Court the final interpretation is based on the popular vote of the judges. It does not matter what the original intent of the law was or how it is written. Only the opinion or desire of a majority of the judges matters.

Free human beings are very different from each other and therefore the legal/justice system is very difficult to manage. I think our system, which has flaws and needs to be constantly improved, is however better then any other.

The plea bargaining system that’s in play just amounts to horse trading.

Now that we have a Ministry Of Justice, we have new improved concepts.

Especially, It’s OKAY If A Republican* Does It!

    .

    *Now the Party Of Trump.
