Your problems are always someone else’s fault, right Patty? Couldn’t even ask Chuck to let you in the house to do your homework, because be honest now, you always do it in the morning before class.
Peppermint Patty also got angry with CB for his so-called “Thanksgiving feast,” forgetting that he wasn’t the one who invited her and her friends. Even worse, she blamed him for losing the homecoming football game, completely ignoring the fact that Lucy pulled the ball before he could kick it…..again.
Ummm……Who invited themselves over while her dad was away on a business trip? Who decided to stay in the “guest cottage”, and not inside the house? And who had the great perception that it was a “guest cottage”?
Also bear in mind that Marcie offered to let Patty stay at her place, but she had to strongarm her way into getting invited to Chuck’s “Guest Cottage”.
I, for one, will be glad when this storyline is over. I normally don’t mind Peppermint Patty and her (annoying) ways, but this arc has always gotten under my skin.
Well, ma’am, we don’t have a guest cottage. You see, Peppermint Patty gets these ideas into her head, and she’s headstrong. When she has a mistaken idea, it’s hard to correct her.
Ma’am, you asked if it isn’t a guest cottage, where has she been sleeping? Well, err, ah, you see … it’s a dog house.

What a boon for Patty, not only a good excuse but also a witness to corroborate it!

You’d think Charlie Brown’s parents would at least let her sleep on the sofa in the living room.
