Oh, Aunty…you hit a nerve tonight. Our beloved Mom is 103 and in the hospital. We know she can’t live forever, but we know her time is short. We have much to remember and be thankful for.
I used to cry at the airport, when I would see others telling their loved ones goodbye. One good thing about the stricter rules is that I no longer have to witness the sad goodbyes, and thus my day is a little brighter. lol
Happens whenever something triggers memories of my beloved wife, my mother, my brother, my middle son, an aunt, her daughter, and my step-father. The price one pays for a long life.
Very true Aunty – back in 2014 the 18th fell on a Saturday and I had to let go of my goats. I loved her very much and still miss her. Xandra 29 April 2010 – 18 October 2014
This made my eyes tear up reading it as I can relate. I have been having a lot of those moments in the last 6 1/2 months as my whole life has changed with my husband walking out on me, filing for divorce, which he is making nasty, and having to make the decision to put my disabled sister in a nursing home because with my own disabilites I could no longer take care of her.

With Aunty, it’s usually “memories” rolling down others’ cheeks… ☺
