Why can’t Charlie be sarcastic for once Lucy? You’ve had plenty of chances to be sarcastic yourself! :P

As I recall, being in High School at the time, this was an era of “doing your own thing” and to H*** with the establishment.

I’m sure in the past and in the near future, howsoever organized activities for children have been, none were or will be so draconian as to outlaw playing or doing stuff on your own in your own backyard.

He has every right to be sarcastic!

I’m with Charles here. Adults taking over kids’ fun stuff always means the fun gets drained away.

Adults ruin kids fun.

I just remembered that there was even a Christmas-themed Bobbsey Twins book that included a snow sculpture contest.

The word stupid certainly was used more casually back then. It was also hurled at Chuck in Charlie Brown’s Christmas, in a really vindictive manner.

Be a rebel and build one anyway, Charlie Brown!

Adults involved…. won’t be long before an all out war.

If anything, this has only become more rigid.

At least Lucy knows sarcasm when she hears it.

And this is why the children and young adults have become increasingly snowflakes, needing ‘safe-spaces’ and pats on the heads. We were warned!

Does the league present a Most Abominable Snowman award?

At least everyone who participates gets a trophy.

Au contraire, being sarcastic is a cultural imperative given the circumstances.

Schulz really saw the future with the draconian governors of 2020.

That reminds me of a stiff competition between Pepsi and coke vying to be official sponsors of cricket match and coke won the bid. Pepsi came up with a quirky adv saying, drink pepsi, NOTHING OFFICIAL ABOUT IT. CB does not need the official tags either.

Next comes televised rights and revenue.

I was a certified Snowman Building League Referee for several seasons. I still have my whistle.

Something like this sounds like it’s more for the adults than the youth.
