Me too! I was supposed to be 5’ 10" but I decided I was uncomfortable being that high up. Instead, I stopped at 5’ 4" so with heels I’d be a bearable five-eight.
Never was afraid of heights as a kid. I was the one who dreamed of flying off the roof to escape the dreaded NAP time. I would climb high hills and had no fear of looking down off a cliff. Then I grew up and I would say about the time I became a parent things changed. I was constantly worried about them falling but they had now taken over my “NO FEARS” attitude and I had lost it to them forever. At least I’m here to tell about it though. Thank goodness so are my kids :-)

And use the ladder this time. Landing on your feet is a cat thing.

So, he falls, hits his head, and the old Adam returns…. Or he wakes up from a dream as he falls…. Either way, we did have a break from Halloween….

The hardest part about becoming a “new man”, is getting over being an old man.

Getting back onto a ladder from a sloped roof is tricky.

I’m with you, Adam; I’m afraid of heights, too.

And watch that first step, you could fall and get a serious head injury. Hmmm, never mind.
