Isn’t Q.E. II’s body double attending rehearsals in her place sort of defeating the purpose of holding rehearsals? Just sayin’ … (And yeah, I know they’re also rehearsals for all the rest of the participants, so not completely wasted. Still …)
So how many times have we seen “the Queen” on TV (or in person if you’re in England) but were really looking at a “body-double” instead? I almost feel like people are getting cheated.
They have the snail races on ESPN+; there are 19 episodes. Each episode is approximately 2 hours and 21 minutes; depending on how the snails are feeling that day.
In 2013 there was a frost delay. Some goof put salt on the track. Needless to say, the race was cancelled that year.
Coming north (actually west) on US101 between Newbury Park and Camarillo, there’s a formation that resembles an Indian Chieftain…but not as much as it did before they altered the cliff to make landslides less likely.
Queen Sluggy the Salty Snail had enough of her daily tasks one fine dew covered morning in Ol’ Mr Merricks messy mushroom garden. She told herself that she will venture over to the mountainous range by Sammy Bo Fanny Park and sing a song of inspiration for all with really really good hearing to hear.
Oh, wow. I live in New Hampshire, the state with the “Old Man of the Mountain,” a rock formation (now crumbled; I never got to see it) that became the landmark symbol for the state. It’s on our license plates & IDs. I had no idea there was another man-faced rock.

It’s nice to see that we’re getting fresh news.
The 2019 snail racing championship just finished yesterday.

The snail races actually move along at a respectable clip.
They all speed around the track in tiny race cars.
Sammy’s car has his initial on all four sides.
So when he pulls out all the stops, the spectators say, Wow! Look at that “S” car go!
[Yeah, old joke. But with this item and the race and the name Sammy, how could I risk squeezing it into this obvious template?]

Let’s hope the Grey Man of Merrick doesn’t suffer the same fate as the Old Man of the Mountain in NH.

I have a feeling she hasn’t been the only world leader with a body double.

So, the queen took a play from Padme’s (Queen Amidala’s) handbook? I wonder how she got it, since that is a galaxy far, far, away.

Is Carol Burnett the Queen’s body double?

Queen Elizabeth 2.5 has minor improvements.
The World Snail Racing Championship was moved to the UK after the first run didn’t finish in France.
Kalalea Mountain in Kauai has a natural rock formation that looks like a gorilla.

Heard QEII had a double. I figured she was what inspired the use of a double for Padme in the Star Wars prequels.
