Well, if this is the start of a cursed loop we know what the catalyst was… My guess is Allan will be pulled to safety and Doc… Will go where Doc always goes…

“When life gives you swirly portals to other dimensions, throw crazy people into them…” Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s how that quote works.

Ladies first!

Alan had the presence of mind to keep her blaster. She’s going into the unknown unarmed, but hopefully she’ll end up back in her lab.

This would be the gate being opened by the Topsider mad scientists.

Whoa!! Alan—elephantine epitome of energetic action!!

Disarmed & it looks like without her guide device…

Amesworth looks good & truly screwed.

Something I just noticed….where that gate went someone is about to receive a big chunk of rock!!

Got to watch out for those ripples.

I thought the last few strips were showing her losing her grip…

OK, so the blaster knocked out a pyramidal chuck of the ceiling, apparently with a bit of gate network still on it.That hit the gate network on the floor and the situation became fluid. The already psychologically unbalanced Doctor Amesworth became physically unbalanced and appears to be sinking into a fluid network, which is also unbalancing Alan (our hero of the previous moment). The Zero Gun looks to be flying loose.

The question of the day: Quo vadis?

Why are the Docs fingertips white? Did her suit rip? Boy, that would add to her misery. She’s rude, but not that bad.

Slip sliding away!!!

Did she jump in it deliberately? It looks like the whole thing has been turned on.

The boulder had some active parts of the gate on its bottom. It touched the gates on the floor. What mess will come out of it?

I wonder if this will become the eternal falling schtick. Doc falls thru the floor, then comes down from the ceiling into the gate in the floor again, and again and again.

Was this how OUR universe was created? A tustle in the multi-verse gateway and a chunk of cement splashing our bit of reality out of place?

Looks like the whole floor around her “activated” from the impact of the falling slab. Down and down and down she goes, where she stops, no one knows.

I have a feeling we are going to jump to another group of characters at this point and have a major cliff-hanger Friday! :^)
