In July 1976, the Viking 1 Mars lander sent back the very first color pictures from the surface of Mars. Due to an image processing error, the sky was blue. It was later corrected to show the actual reddish tint. So, why is the sky blue on Mars? Because of a NASA screw-up.
Sooooo…..if we’re erroneously being led to believe the sky is blue, what color is it really? Just curious. Is it really purple? I’d like it to be purple.
This one certainly says something about our attitude toward leaning and those who have some. Knowing Peter, though, he probably IS showing off.
But too often we jump to the defensive conclusion that someone who knows something we don’t know is trying to put us down. So, instead of appreciating learning something new, we become angry and resentful. In both Peter and Thor’s cases, part of us never leaves the playground.
