I live with my wife and regularly see my sons and their families. Those are the exact people I will be having Thanksgiving with. Including the infant, the head count is eight. I feel confident we can do this without Zoom.
Our only “outside” guest were going to be family from Tennessee. They canceled due to Covid concerns. He suggested we do a Zoom…why not? (Just not when I’m eating! It could get ugly!)
the first year we had to do this to my grandsons, they were so dejected…i couldn’t take it, so i picked up my plate and sat on the floor with them (they were little, only way i could be even with their little table )

But that leaves more room for food. Yes!"

Hope the laptop is gravy-resistant.

When I was a little girl, for several Thanksgivings, my siblings and I sat at a picnic table, and all the adults were at the dining room table.

But you can put the microphone on mute and say anything you want about crazy relatives.

The more things change …
I have fond memories of having to sit at the kids’ table into my 30s. >Sigh!< Not anymore these days.

This year, I’m planning a GoComics Zoom Thanksgiving and you’re all invited. Watch for the e-vite in your email box.

We always liked being at the kiddie table at family dinners instead of being with the old fossils. Now I’m the old fossil…

What happened to Pam’s face…?

It occurs to me we’ve never met the cook aboard the Sirius. Cliff clearly enjoys his space cuisine. . .

When I was a kid, we liked having our own table away from the grown-ups. The grown-ups were way too boring!

Oh great. More promotion of Zoom. Nope. I won’t use it.

And their image will be in the small window in the corner of the Zoom Screen.

One of the most memorable moments of my youth was the first time being ask to sit at the grownup table for Thanksgiving dinner.
