Which is a special pair in the kitchen drawer.

Obviously the ones who design the packaging for modern products DO NOT take into account that some Pluggers have arthritis. :(

The one time I envy Edward Scissorhands….

Scissors are a wonderful invention, I keep them everywhere and lost count of how many there are, especially after You can Buy them at dollar store.

I don’t even try anymore, I have a pair of scissors on the counter top just for that!

That’s an everybody problem. Sometimes those things will tear off halfway through the tearing off of the package.

Also, with zip top bags the zip is stronger than the bag.

If only you hadn’t been declawed.

I’ve often said that it the people who design packages also designed our prisons, we’d all be safer.

Many bagged products have a narrower closure at the bottom…a little easier to open.

Fred Meyers products – I don’t even try to open them by hand. And then there’s the “Open here” on mac’n’cheese boxes, does that ever work?

And the dotted /dashed line means cut 1/4 inch lower to get below the heat seal.

I find they invariably need a starting nick with fingernail trimmers.

I call it ‘childproof packaging…’

Starting a few years back I’ve always had a mini multi-tool with small scissors. A proverbial life saver when you’re trying to open airline snack.

I hope that whoever invented the ‘Blister Pack’ dies a slow and horrible death. They have caused a huge number of visits to Emergency Rooms.

Yesterday it took five minutes and a pair of scissors to open the package my animatronic Baby Yoda came in.

I think the package designers should try to open their packages themselves. Arthritis has not one thing to do with it. There needs to be brainier designers.

There is a special level of Hell for designers of packages that take so much force to open that your can sprain both arms and fling the contents across the room trying to open with sharp implements. It’s a snack food container not a time capsule.

Do you also have these packages, where one has to lift a soft plastic wrap from one corner? often so small that one cannot get hold of it, and very hard to lift, ending like the Dani Rice cereal effect.

Yup, same kind of useless packaging.
