Sometimes we writers take hours finding the exactly right words.

I remember type writers, and then the IBM. Select II that let us correct mistakes…what a breakthrough ( and yes I am old) my daughter wants an old Smith Corona for an ironic cubicle ornament!

Does the term paper start, “It was a dark and stormy night…”?

Back when 50 cents was a lot…

Back when this one was published, people could make some money typing papers for college kids. My buddy charged 50 cents a page, or $1.00 a page if they wanted spelling and grammar correction. He quickly paid off the new electric typewriter he had bought.

Snoopy isn’t that good at haggling. I would’ve talked her down to five bucks.

Patty had better see a sample of Snoopy’s writing before she wastes her money.

Patty’s report may look better typed, but I can remember writing something by hand as a kid thinking it was a decent length, only to type it up and discover it was barely a whole page.

amazing when one considers he doesn’t even have fingers — ‘course I’m also amazed by people who type on their phones with their thumbs.

Looks like he’s gonna type whatever he wants after dropping her scribbling. Peppermint Patty’s gonna be out fifty cents and get another bad grade.

Be sure to ‘punch it up’ a bit. The French Revolution was kinda boring.

Remember when Calvin was sure he would get an “ A” on a paper, only because he put it in a “ professional, clear binder”? Take note, Patty.

50 cents in 1974=2.62 in 2020 (we can’t do 2021 until the 10th, when the 2021 CPI is released)

In college I knew people who had a nice little side-gig typing term papers for people. MS Word ended that little racket.

That’s ten therapy sessions lost!
