Snort. Found that out on our Christmas Zoom-call. Had to move from my comfy-chair to let people see me (a distinctly minor pleasure for them, I suspect).

Is this guy really telling his friends to “come to the light”? Is he a big fan of heavy-handed symbolism?

Maybe they just don’t want to be pigeonholed…

So they’ve got computers but no light bulbs? Oh please!

Not light bulbs, holes in the wall to let in sunlight. Tends to wash out everything else in the room.

The worst thing you can do on a video call is to be backlit.

I played around with the lighting in my room until I got it right. I have to pull the blinds (otherwise there’s too much light and I look like a zombie), turn on the torch lamp that’s more or less behind the computer and turn on the overhead light so I don’t have a black void behind me – fortunately the background is a bookcase and some pictures – very professional looking.

It is worth it to “set the stage” for these calls.

I’ve been on Zoom calls like that where folks refuse to use a light or get a decent camera - they look like they’re in the witness protection program. Sheesh.

The 4 Corners offense is in progress and it looks like New Mexico is not in proper lunar alignment.

Not being very smart is the definition of “birdbrain”…

That was a disastrous thing to say at the meeting of ghouls – after they went into the light there were no ghouls left to meet with…

Moving towards the light is not always good advise

“Go to the light” is not what most beings want to hear, right now in particular!
