I know this is a comic, but…that’s so sad. He’s so afraid of his parent’s wrath that he can’t even go home. He’d rather sleep in a cold car, all night, in the middle of winter, than face what’s waiting for him at home.

I’m deeply saddened by this.

Panel 3: The second floor of that house must be a TARDIS… No way can you fit three bedrooms and a bathroom in that small area…

I can’t help remembering a time, in a small town, when people used to leave the keys in the car so they wouldn’t lose them.

John must drive his sport car in the winter? Is he crazy? Winter road salt and winter weather will do a number on his expensive car. Most men store such toys for the winter.

Why do parents physically beat kids, it never makes them better just feeling down on themselves and learn to fear their parents instead of loving them.

I hope this has a happy ending. Of course, I know in the longterm he does.

I had friends like Gordon; my parents always assured them they were welcome to stay at our place.

When is he going to tell his parents that Gordon is AFRAID to go home???

Home is not safe, so why go there? Your home should be the safest place you go.

hopefully Mike will explain to his parents what is going on in Gordon’s household and take him in. unfortunately this is a reality for too many kids who are bullied / abused by their own parents.
