I remember there was a time in my 57 years that both party’s did what was right for the country in unison.
Now corporation and outside agitators have corrupted Washington politics to the point that it only works for corporations and caters to special interests and the working man and woman get the crumbs or an empty plate.
1st Timothy 2:2 “Pray in this way for kings and all others who are in authority over us, or are in places of high responsibility, so that we can live in peace and quietness, spending our time in godly living and thinking much about the Lord.”
Not Anymore: But they vote against their best interests. Republicans convince them that Jesus and Guns are being taken away from them, but Democrats do more for the low income folks. The folks that rioted against the government were Pluggers , all of them should get 10 years hard labor then tar and feathered
I’ve been praying for Trump for about a year, despite being opposed to pretty much all he’s done. I’ve been praying the way Bishop Michael Curry suggested: pray that Trump would do the right thing, and that I would also. I’ve seen the occasional Trump-specific answer to that prayer, and have found myself much more compassionate.
The Episcopal Church has a prayer all ready to go:O Lord our Governor, whose glory is in all the world: We commend this nation to your merciful care, that, being guided by your Providence, we may dwell secure in your peace. Grant to the President of the United States, the Governor of this State (or Commonwealth), and to all in authority, wisdom and strength to know and to do your will. Fill them with the love of truth and righteousness, and make them ever mindful of their calling to serve this people in your fear; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.

Pray in one hand, poop in the other. Which fills up first?
That said, at least the adults are in charge again.
