OK, not exactly what I was expecting. So the gray ellipse we saw in the toon, was an unbound whatever it is.

The work of the Eye? Or multiverse whoopsie?

Looking at it some more, maybe this is a side product of the amulet Duffy continues to hold. And in looking at panel 4, I think that might be Duffy’s brother, rather than Duffy, as I first thought.

And if it is Duffy’s brother, it explains why the Topsiders did not have him. But it could all be a simulacra.

Interesting that once again, it is Alan who is the first to see the weirdness..

Now that’s a pleasant surprise – Duffy gets to see his brother again?

And what is this? Two weeks in a row I accidentally find this comic minutes old instead of days old? Still misdated, though. And sorry if I sound like a broken record: I really wish Aaron would stop doing it. The only artist that does this, and does it always, I have to assume that it’s deliberate.

Step right up to the handrail Topsider folks and Cardoodles…get your own first row seat to the unraveling of Realities…compliments of Aaron Marx perhaps? This is gonna be a fun loop-de-loop!

But is he in sync with the reality……we’ll find out.

I sure hope that is Benny, and not a cruel simulacrum produced by “Eye” to torment Duffy. Have to wonder how brothers could be the same species, since mutations are random. I wondered the same with Portia pig and her brother.

This is either Duffy’s brother or Duffy. If it is Duffy then the question needs to be answered. How can you be in two places at once when you’re not anywhere at all? XD

Reunited?

So was that Topsider actually Duffy’s brother? It was the only other being with them.

Looks like Duffy has his little brother back. But, for how long…?

To step aside from the pressing issue of “dates,” can someone explain what is happening here? Is bully cat junior seeing an alternate universe version, a ditto clone, or something other?

What the heck is so damn important is a date stamp! Aaron has put out a great comic.I’ve read this from the start and not once commented on it. I love this comic and I read the comments to dive deeper into it. This time stamp discussion doesn’t add to trying to figure out the next step or share ideas. Duffy’s little brother just appeared next to the crew out of thin air and you fill the comment section with time stamp bitching. Aaron, may your health hold, that you never quit Endtown.

Looking at the comments inspired by the appearance (hopefully) of Duffy’s missing brother Benny; I’m impressed by the emotional involvement many of us have in these characters. We have never met Benny, and he’s only mentioned in a few panels(weeks or months ago)..yet here we are hoping that this is Benny. Wonderful storytelling, Mr. Neathery!

I believe the freckles do indeed indicate that the newest arrival beside them is Duffy’s kid brother Benny. As usual, Alan is the most observant of them all and sees the kid first. Crossing fingers that this isn’t a cruel trick by “Eye” or the Topsiders and that this really is Duffy’s brother. (Which then begs the question: why did he appear there and at that particular time?)

Duffy is still clutching that amulet for dear life. l wonder if he’ll let go of it long enough to hug his brother? :) #please_let_that_be_the_real_Benny

Thank you to the other fans of Endtown who have responded to Cheapskate’s repeated complaints about Aaron. I love this comic, which is an incredible bit of story-telling and excellent art. We all know that Aaron has health issues which have interrupted the flow. We always hope for the best for him.

I apologize to everyone but Cheapskate for SHOUTING, but I felt his complaint amounted to a constant “dissing” of Aaron over something of that should be of little importance in life. Your responses, quietly and thoughtfully made will, I think, do what I was unable to do. So, thank you all.

If that’s not really Benny, poor Duffy will completely lose his mind. Aaron, thank you for the spellbinding universe you have created.
