Red and Rover have helped me get through these years of madness. Ditching the strip because a little boy speaks the truth would just be self-defeating.
This strip helped me/ us /we get through Covid with happiness and something to look forward to every morning. Thank you! But, I am not interested in self-righteous indignation, and disingenuous statements. Life is not a dress rehearsal, may we get back to Red and Rover?
Are all these writers on the left? I have been reading daily comics for 65 years. I come here every day to get away from political opinions and to be entertained and amused. Everything on my comics list is families and fun.
We’ll see… Biden could be the greatest president we ever have to date, or he could be the worst, or he could be average.
But in order for us to find out, we have to let him BE the president.
Given him the standard 100 days, or a year or two, but give him a chance.
Thats something the democrats never gave Trump, and last year at this time we had the lowest unemployment rates ever, energy independence, and lower taxes, despite that.
Think about what Biden might achieve if he is given a chance, given some support, to lead and get things done.
Personally, I have my doubts, but, he must be allowed to try…
I didn’t see anything political about today’s strip. However, after reading some of the comments maybe it was political. But it appears to me that the strip is pointing out the foolishness of both sides of the political divide.
I love the Red & Rover comic strip….until today. Brian Basset, you most certainly could have left your political leanings out of such a lovely strip. May Reds’ parents be taxed to the hilt, lose their rights & liberty…. show us the comic strip that will make…………….

Teachers often brought in TVs for big events. I remember watching JFK’s funeral in a classroom as well as some lift offs.

Alas, even this little gem can’t stay out of politics. I’m hoping it’s a temporary lapse. I will miss seeing Red and Rover if this continues.

Nixon had to keep treats in his Oval Office’s desk drawer to get his pup come over to him.
Had to repost down here because of the FOUL language under former post.
