The fast food eatery in the bottom frame looks more like the communal toilets used by Romans in ancient times. What the archeologists analized may not have been soup eaten as fecal matter of those that had consumed snail, fish and lamb during that day.

That has to be the worst version of ‘surf&turf’ ever.

That is an odd combination of meats — and I’m speaking as someone who’s made soup combining ham, finely chopped hot dogs, and summer sausage.

Snail. Fish. Sheep. Sounds like ingredients for an episode of Chopped.

Except it was called “Federal Express” in those days. Still was as late as the ’90s.
