    I feel sorry for them when they get crushed. I encourage the non poison spiders to capture more flies. I have one special spider on my shed where the spider uses my night light to garner all kinds of flying insects, especially the mosquitoes from the local city regulated ‘preserved’ wetlands. {Read that as swamp}

    My Dad told me that spiders were our friends. They don’t bother anyone, they don’t eat your food, and they keep the fly population down.One day at work, I watched a spider constructing a web from the top of my machine to an adjacent door frame. For hours, that little bugger climbed up and down the machine and the wall to stretch that web across the gap. I didn’t have the heart to wreck all his hard work.The next day, the web was complete, and the spider was waiting patiently in the corner of the door frame for lunch to arrive.Bon appetit, little buddy.

    My wife just calmly tells me about the spider and I have to deal with it, unless Sheela spots it first and eats it.

    Sure… but a true plugger would spring into action after the 3rd “E”… and, if he was a NRA plugger.. spring to action with his 12 gauge shotgun.

    My favorite part is the =^..^= show

    The Queen of Snows and King Boreas show up to crown the winner

    It began in 1886 in response to a few misguided East Coast reporters who called Minnesota “another Siberia, unfit for human habitation.”

    https://www.visitsaintpaul.com/blog/guide-to-the-saint-paul-winter-carnival/

    IN the early years the giant snow/ice castles had BALLS, then at the end of the two coldest weeks of winter, Vulcanus Rex wins and takes over King Boreas and allows Summer to return. Then the Vulcan Krewe got to use dynamite to blow up the Castles

    I am not normally afraid of spiders. I’m not fond of them, but usually don’t react other than to get rid of them. However, I was housesitting for my sister one fall and my daughter came charging up the basement steps, crying and shaking, saying there was a HUGE spider downstairs (we were sleeping in the finished basement while there). I went down to check it out and it was the size of my hand! Not my palm, my whole hand!! It was a garden spider, but bigger than anything I had ever seen before. I wound up throwing a piece of lumber on it and going back upstairs to calm down. Several hours later I went back and dealt with the carcass and prayed I would never see another one that big. If it had been outside, I would have left it alone, but not inside.
