So that’s why those senators and congresscritters pass those crazy laws! They live in a world unto themselves! ;D

Don’t worry, Faux Snoose and Qanon and Russian Trolls and Mad Avenue and Twitter are all alive and well out here.

Oh dear! Am worried that the initiative might prompt the Senators to give themselves a spanking good pay-hike.

Only in Congressland can you send a bloodthirsty mob to attack the Capitol, and have the Congress rally ‘round the guy behind it, hoping he won’t do it again. Like chickens holding a rally for foxes.

What does one member of our congress say to another on Thursday afternoon? See ya Tuesday!

The Senate has the murder of United States Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick on its conscience. The Republican Party’s lack of a conscience is shameful.

Virtually NO member of the GQP has lived in reality for over 4 years now!

They know the real world. They just don’t care about it as long as they can extract as much wealth from it to insulate themselves from it.

A second sign should read: “Leaving crime scene”.

They work hard, over 40 hrs a week for THEIR OWN CAMPAIGNS! Today, it’s all about raising money to get re-elected …and if they find the time, they do their job for WE the PEOPLE…you know, the ones who ELECTED YOU??? Pitiful DC!

Reading today’s comments to this point, it is obvious that the aftershocks are still coming on strong and frequently. Also obvious it’s gonna be that way for a long time.

And the grand chef of this boil up is living well, enjoying the outdoors, and privileges available only to the very wealthy. Though he has been titled our current national embarrassment, he is being served by those who make a less than livable wage, face possible eviction, mortgage defaults, loss of health care, and other debilitating crises, not to mention CV-19. What a wonderful world.

Beware there Congressman. Once you cross that border, you have to obey the laws you enacted. ….SCARY!!

After spending several years meeting with senators inside Russell, Dirksen & Hart, I’m amazed the government functions at all.

Ah, they don’t leave their warped view of Reality behind. Its so ingrained that they carry that illusion with them everywhere they go.

They’re not alone in that. We all do it.

Can the Republican Senators so quickly forget when “the real world” was inside the Capitol and stalking indiscriminately? Or who said, “I’ll be with you.” ?

Politicians-the cartoonist’s low hanging fruit.

Avoid at all costs.

Leave now and avoid the angry mobs.

So, so true, regardless of party affiliation.

For many of them, but especially the GOP, getting out into the real world won’t help. They are blinded by confirmation bias, narrow perceptual/mental sets, prejudices, and political/religious delusions.

Uh, the Senators don’t use those stairs, they use the tunnels to leave their offices (and remain in their “bubble” so to speak).
