Javier not getting the point.

Most bullies don’t!!!

The saddest part is, of late, it seems that being a bully is a prerequisite to getting into politics.

Gracie doesn’t think she’s smart, she understands she’s smart!

Without the smug little smile she might have gotten away with it.

If Javier is working on being a bully, he’s somewhere between a knucklehead and a numbskull…

Also important is knowing how to treat and inflict fat lips.

Javier needs to remember, “Better to keep one’s mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.”

Gracie apparently doesn’t understand the difference between a ‘know-it-all’ and an ‘insufferable know-it-all’.

It is called bullyism!

Data is, knowledge is data in context, wisdom is knowledge experienced. For example Data: 10, Knowledge: 10 F, Wisdom: What you gain by going outside without a coat in 10 F weather.

Gracie is not smart at all. For example, she doesn’t know the difference between intelligence and knowledge.

Going to have to be a dissenting voice here.

A number of strips have, indeed, had Gracie lord her expanded vocabulary over her classmates and behave in a somewhat arrogant fashion. Given this, it’s understandable why some kids are losing patience with her and want her to tone it down.

That she doesn’t seem to understand this would, in real life, lead to social isolation that she likely will presume is the fault of society rather than anything she may have done, and that never ends well.

Einstein also said: “If A equals success, then the formula is A= X+ Y+ Z. X is work. Y is play. Z is keeping your mouth shut.”

Never argue with an Idiot they will beat you down with their ignorance, and most onlookers will not be able to tell the difference.

I hoped his response would be, “Gracie, I think you’re sooooo smart.”

I don’t understand

Javier is greatly unarmed in this battle of wits.

Javier didn’t understand a word she said, so he said the last thing that popped into his head. He doesn’t get many thoughts…

Javier is a very Slow learner.
