We had a power outage for several hours yesterday. All over the house things started chirping. Those things were uninterruptable power supplies. They kept the computers running long enough to shut them down gracefully. They kept the TV boxes from rebooting.
So, we shut down the computers and turned the UPSs off. We kept the TV box going for about 10 minutes in hopes that the power would come back and then shut it down.
Our WIFI is on its own âsuperâ UPS with 450 minutes (Thatâs 7 and a half hours) of charge.
So if we needed to charge up our phones we can go to one of the spare UPSs turn it back on and plug the phone in. A small UPS could carry its load (usually a computer and terminal for about 20 minutes. However, it does not take a lot of power to charge a phone). We should be good for days with the phones, although we would have to start ârationingâ the WIFI.
Ha! I donât even do the toilet lid thing. It is a medical fact that the average man has a smaller bladder than the average woman. Please put the seat up for me when youâre done. :)

Hand her a portable power pack instead of those silly plants and refined sugar bombs, and watch her swoon.
