    I could never understand valences in Chemistry class when I was in high school and had to switch to something else.Wish now though I should have stuck with it.

    Wanna blow their little minds? Introduce the concept of supersaturation. Not really all that complex once it’s explained, but it’s a neat term.

    Nerdy comment of the day: the saturation curve of sodium chloride is nearly flat. Raising the temperature of the water from just above freezing to just below boiling increases solubility by about 10%
