As I figured, Tracy has just learned that Dollar Bill was selling in the park where Pouch hangs out. As many of us anticipated, Pouch is getting involved in this investigation. They’ll have to find him first, but I think they know his park habits pretty well.

Pouch might want to stay holed up for another week and order in.

The “talking heads” critics will be out in force today.

What was in the blue balloon?

I always thought Tracy was a burrito kind of guy…..

He gets to give a tip on himself, lol……

Tracy stashes his burritos in the blue balloon.

Next panel: (Sam) “What if Pouch doesn’t cooperate?” (Tracy) “Oh, he will. A few minutes in a locked room with me after six of these burritos should do it.”

“Yeah, I saw the guy, thought he was a pusher,” Pouch tells Tracy. “Warned him not to sell drugs here – kids come into the park and we don’t need his kind here. He spent a lot of time talking to a guy in a hippy outfit. Then one day he was gone and this big, tough guy was here the next day. I heard the dollar bill guy got killed… Maybe the big tough guy did it? I think you need to look for the guy in the hippy outfit.”

1-DT: Thanks for picking up lunch for me, Sam.

SAM: I got it from Bill’s Burrito Bus. That Bill was real nice. He asked if this was for you and when I said it was, he made what he called a Tracy Special.

2-DT: That’s nice considering I put him away 10 years ago. I guess he finally got out. Hmmm. A fudge swirl burrito. Never had one of those.

3-SAM: How’s the Tracy Special?

DT: munch, munch Tastes just like the sandwich that ex-con at the diner makes for me. This lemonade is weak though. And warm…

I’m thinking that “Shaky: The Sequel” slapped the balloon so it wasn’t allowed to be shown on panel

I wonder who’s on Sam’s lunch box.

Is Dick eating a rose wrapped in paper?

Tracy takes a quick lunch and by panel 3 seems to be already on his way back to the squadroom. Just a meagre wrap and what looks more like a tall cold drink than a big coffee.

Then, once Sam has finished his fuller lunch and rejoins him, Pouch is next on the menu. They’ll bring him in if they can find him (if they do find his motel safehouse I don’t expect him to offer much resistance). His interrogation will be crucial; I hope he is cooperative, but who knows?

Pouch isn’t gonna like this. Not at all.
