Consensual sex is certainly grounds for impeachment. Just ask the Republicans (now the Party Of Trump) who voted to convict Clinton, and voted to suppress all evidence and to acquit Their Messiah, when all he did was to incite a violent attempt to overthrow the governement of the United States.
Yeah, because there was no reason to impeach Trump. What the actual ####… Republicans are just not interested in governing. It’s a freaking blood feud.
Had the Republicans done their constitutional duty the first time there would have been no need for Impeachment 2.0, no assault on the Capitol and Officer Brian Sicknick would still be alive.
This strip is a perfect example of showing us exactly what Scott thought two weeks ago when the impeachment was going on.
Which is to say, not much.
Democrats: But we have a real crime here – trying to overthrow the election and government.
Republicans: But we dragged our feet, so now he’s out of office. What’s the point if he’s already out of office?
The overall point: Just what can a lame duck president really do – and get away with? Well, now we know.
Even weirder thought: Given term limits on the presidency, Donald was a lame duck pretty much as soon as his re-election campaign began – all that 03-Nov-20 did was shorten it by four years.
Food for thought: Term limits takes away the only accountability an elected official has to his or her voters.
Alt-rights would like to enact impeachment based upon partisan revenge, instead of actual quilt of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. Of course, some consider not being Republican as a high crime… if the alt-rights manage to lure in progressives to their revenge impeachments, they will have united the parties in a way – but not in a positive way…
When ever a president from either party tries to use the power of his office for corrupt personal or political gain I hope they impeach that individual. Keep doing it until presidents act like public servants, fully in favor.

Republicans still seeking revenge for Nixon – hence, Clinton.
I’m sure they’ll double down for Trump.

According to Republicans, the ONLY legitimate reason to impeach a President is lying about cheating on his wife.
Oh, wait, Trump did THAT, too.

Going out on a limb here, but I’m gonna say I don’t expect George HW Bush to be inciting a riot any time soon.

If presidents didn’t commit impeachable acts, they wouldn’t get impeached.

When exactly did this strip become a small set of Colorforms and computer lettered dialog that has nothing to do with the pictures?

If they do the crime then impeach them, I don’t see a problem.

If you can’t do the time don’t do the crime, Don.
