2 Tobacco Lobby candidates trying to buy Bozo’s vote with those 5 cent cigars the nation was clamoring for back in the 40’s. Bozo makes his fortune by selling of his surplus supply!
3 After the election, Bozo decides to make himself scarce and gets out of town for his lunch break. Even manages to avoid Umbrella Guy’s speed trap.
Anyone remember Pete’s Cafe. There were scads of roadsigns at all points of the compass advertising it from perhaps as much as 100 miles away. There was also a copy of Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” gracing one of the walls.
Great comics are those that deliver great fun with great artwork. And this one delivers solely on artwork alone, and no character saying a word. A big thumbs up, again, for Foxo’s marvellous masterpiece, the wordless wonder called Bozo!
Foxo added decorative items to the elevator doors. I wonder if that was common or represents something in particular?
Also, Foxo took the trouble to add a revolving door, which was unnecessary but added interest to the scene.
₃⋱ I really like Bozo’s car. It looks like it’s modeled after a 1938/39 American Bantam Roadster. If I could find one I wonder if I could afford it (or afford to keep it running).:

Would someone mind explaining “half price”? Why is everyone giving him their cigars?

1 – Bozo as “A Short campaign worker.”
3 – The view outside Mike’s restaurant was disappointing, after all that build up.

1. Bozo goes campaigning. I’d votes for Bozo if he ran.
2. Did folks campaigning bribed cigars those days? Or is it for some ofher reason they was giving cigars and cards?
3. Long before Joe’s became popular (Eat At Joe’s), Mike’s was The place to eats at.

3) Note that Bozo is, in fact, eating at Mike’s.

As there is an election going on In Canada right now I won’t comment on the first two strips. But the last strip was hilarious.

Bozo knows that the process needs a smoke-filled room.

1. The short guy is for the Snort guy.
2. Somebody’s at least getting ahead in this election.
3. People come from far and wide to eat at Mike’s. Unfortunately, Mike’s went out of business because nobody actually bought anything at Mike’s.

¹⋰ I wonder if Bozo managed to slap a poster on Fuzzy? We’ll never know.
²⋰ Neutral in politics, aggressive in business; a good policy for success.
³⋰ Perhaps if Bozo was interested in dancing instead of just eating Mike might have had a customer.

These are all brilliantly done but I have to admit that the first thing I look for is the guy with the umbrella.

1) Signs: Bozo uses the crowded in the elevator and his dexterity to put political signs on everyone there.
2) Cigars: Bozo gets so many freebees he sells them at a polling place for profit.
3) Mike’s: It’s so busy no one but Bozo goes there.

On “Signs Of The Times” Not to be political, but isn’t Snort still in Congress?
