1 Bozann loves the loveseat but all Bozo can do is enjoy the view.

2 Must be baseball season.

3 Next time plant evergreens.

I Love Me: I’d be miffed too. I’ll bet $75 was a lot in 1950.

Retrieve: Take a look at that ball. It might be what you shot. And BTW, it’s a good thing you didn’t shoot umbrella guy.

1) He should have purchased a cuddle couch. 2) You shot it, you go get it. 3) Remember that when you’re looking for shade next summer.

1. Loveseat for me. Kid seat for thee, says Bozanne.

2. What? This is what you trains me to fetch, says doggie.

3. No, no. Do not cut trees. Trees is our friends, I says!

A big thumbs up and big applause once again, for marvellous FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the picturesque pantomime called BOZO!

i don’t know why it’s called a "loveseat’… It’s awfully hard to make love on it.

Feet seat. Shoot skeet. Leaf beat. The best seat in the house is usually the one I don’t get to sit in.

3 makes me think of the reaction I have every time I see the inconsiderate new neighbor piles his tree trimmings under the tree he THINKS are on my side of the property line. I end up cutting them down further and dumping them to keep the neighborhood from looking like some back corner of the Black forest.

1. So much for love.

3. Trust me Bozo, I know exactly how you feel.

Strip #3 is a wonderful example of how FoXo has the reader’s POV change from panel to panel whenever he can. Most other cartoonists would tell this gag with the same background, but here we get a sense of circling around Bozo and that tree. All of the buildings are similar to one another, but the only time we see the same one is in panels 2 and 4. This “movement” adds interest and realism.

We have a very nice love seat from the 1940s in the library. Very comfy and very much feline endorsed with no scratching.

1) LOVE SEAT CONCEIT: Bozo sees a loveseat on sale, purchases it and Bozann finds it comfortable for herself.

2) ONE BALL, NO DUCK: Out hunting Bozo nails a duck, his trusty god returns with a wayward baseball instead in his mouth?

3) LEAF BAGGAGE: As autumn hits the fall of leaves never lets up it seems. Bozo has had enough and in frustration he uproots a tree and puts it in the trash!

✔₁ Oh, come on, the ball’s more fun. ⚽️

✔₂ Maybe if you left the cigar outside you could sit with me!

✔₃ Trees do more good than bad. Shade, Oxygen, Beauty, and with two you can have a hammock.
