To tell the king, or not to to tell the king? That is the question — Is it safer to suffer the slings and arrows of an attack from the enemy, or to wake the king from his pleasant sleep?
The King will never know. He is locked away, in a fortress, behind guards. With advisors who tell him only rosy lies about the outside world. He only sees media reports, that favor his view of the world. No crisis at the border. The enemy is not at the gates. No let the King sleep.
