I thought it was a brilliant joke. I’ve only been subscribing to DL for a short while, but this joke alone makes me glad I added it to my hundred or so favorites.

He just got hired as the bar’s new bouncer.

“And I get a lot of that this time of year, though.”

Spring into action! The trees are budding, the crocus sprouting! YAY!

I heard that there was a lot of tension downtown; this explains it.

“What ya say ya spring for another round of drinks.”

I’m recoiling with laughter.
