It looks like muffin would not be so flattered. Typical cat.
Now that I think about it, has Sylvia ever accidentally called her son Dan and her husband Nelson?
Sylvia and Muffin have similar hair color so I can see getting those 2 mixed up.
I have at times called both of my nieces by her sister’s name and their sons by his cousin’s name.
As long as she doesn’t call you late for dinner.
He is shaped rather like a muffin.
What happens if she calls him Earl? Is that good, bad, or an accident?
I love Muffin in this strip, so life-like ! Even the best world renowned yoga masters are amateurs in relaxation , compared to cats.
Earl just go with the flow …..
As Muffin is behind Earl’s back, our dog does that, daughter calls him the “Parrot Dog”!
All my wife has to do is whistle and I come a running with bells on, (Yeah Right).
Earl gets no respect, I tell ya, no respect!
You may have to start wearing those “Hello, my name is…” tags, Earl!
Would that be stud muffin…
Muffin heard that!
Opal adores the cat, guy just tolerates Earl. She never shows him any affection at all. She just growls at him.
The cat’s first name is “Meadow”.
I don’t know about Earl but Muffin would be highly offended.
For me I do not call others by pet names, accident on human names, now I do get little mixed on pet names.
Oddly, I sometimes call my daughter by my younger sister’s name, even though they’re nothing alike.
That is a HUGE cat.
You’d think at least a few fur strands would transplant to Earl’s head from Muffin’s cloud.
My paternal grandmother had 6 sons, 14 grandkids, 2 dogs, and a cat; you could get any number of names before she hit on yours.
