Barked at the mailman? You’re not turning into a grumpy old woman, you’re turning into a dog!

Sounds like a vicious cycle. Which is better than a vicious bicycle… though that’s from another ’toon.

We could suggest that she get a dog or cat, since they usually cheer people up, but she has both in her house already…

Time for a hobby away from the house. Get a gym or hotel pool membership and go join a water aerobics class. It really does help.

Grumpiness comes with the territory….we have earned our place in life, just like we’ve earned all that gray hair…ugh

Sweet old lady? No such thing. We’ve lived too long seeing the stupidity and general misanthropy in the world to wear our rose coloured glasses. Realist old lady is more like it.

There was an old woman, her sister was Pearl, the stood and they talked about their nemesis Earl, they did it so much Opal’s mood is now foul, but I’ll continue to read this strip anyhow!

Earl will tell you she’s been a grumpy old lady for years.

Ms. Opal, you’re taking the wrong view. Revel in it! I worked for years to establish myself as a curmudgeon, and now I take some pride in the accomplishment.

Today’s cartoon is making me grumpy!

When you’re about to do that, stop and ask yourself “Will I care about this 10 minutes from now?” 9 times out of 9 the answer is “no.” So it’s not important enough to get riled up over.

She’s a true solid citizen.

Pearl + Opal = Purple and that’s pretty much what they’re wearing.

I get grumpy myself seeing all the women in aprons. This isn’t 1940 anymore. Men wear aprons now with comments about grilling. My favorite is “serial griller.”

The main cause of grumpiness amongst the old? As some wag once said, “Youth is wasted on the young.”
