Without shoulders, how would one:

Lean against a tree.

Give someone the cold shoulder.

Have a chip on their shoulder.

Carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Put your shoulder into it!

Let someone cry on their shoulder.

Shoulder that responsibility.
