poor Lucille

Bawk bawk bawk, Lucille.

My sister went to a doctor to get her ears pierced and he pierced one ear crooked. My mom just took me to the mall. May have been Claire’s I don’t remember.

Lucy is afraid. In my day she would have been called Chicken.

You wanted this, now follow through with it! ;D

I have 2 granddaughters that got their ears pierced at a mall. It was the store’s practice to do both ears simultaneously, that way no one chickened out after the first ear. (Can you still say that – chickened out? Or should it be ‘fowled out’? I’m going to stay with ‘chickened’.)

Is “cold ears” the same as “cold feet” when it comes to ear piercing?

Lucy’s ears aren’t warmed up? Poor misguided girl. I thought that it was recommended to put ice on the ears beforehand to numb the needle pain.

Lucille, in my day, you froze the ear lobe with an ice cube first. The colder the better. Now get in there!

Let me know when they get something else pierced.

Seriously, Patty, just punch Lucy now. Save yourself some frustration later.

At least from my understanding of such things as a bystander – they numb your ears before piercing them, so warming up isn’t exactly the right thing?

Same thing happened to me when I got my first piercing.

Buy plastic or magnetic earrings

They got their ears pierced at the doctors? I got mine pierced at Wal-Mart.
