Alex turned out ok.

Mike shows real respect for Alex.

Oh, and Alex, it is open season all the time on Zeke. Unload at will.

Y’know, I never could understand how people (IRL and in cartoons) could go bareheaded in snow and freezing temperatures.

So Mike was turning into an irredeemable loser, so Trudeau saved him by making JJ worse. He gets a redemption arc and a hot Asian trophy wife and she gets Zeke. Hated it the first time round, hate it more now.

You’re a good kid, Alex.

As worried-looking as Alex always is, one could be excused for thinking she’s really the child of Zonker.

mike doesn’t have to poison his daughter against his ex, she did it all on her own. He just has to sit back and enjoy the view

It seems to me that life is easier, yet more complicated, when I am allowed to do whatever I want, but I really don’t want to do all that stuff.

I never said anything negative to my daughter about her mother. Any opinions and conclusions arrived at concerning her mother were strictly her own!

That he confides to his daughter, “I’d never tell you” … hot damn, besides Mike being right, it again reveals such an amazing connection with Alex. The rest of us should learn. Hats off.

I am one of the lucky people who had an amicable divorce. I’m still in touch with my first wife forty years later.

An unusually frank parent-child conversation.
