I used to run every day, six miles. I would try to break 30 minutes every day. After age 40 or so, I changed to running 3 miles a day and a 3 mile walk home five days a week. Skip Saturday and run 6 miles on Sunday – under 33 minutes.
When I returned from my last deployment – when I could; I would walk 30 minutes, and distance didn’t matter, or jog maybe 20. Just do what you can, but really do it.
