He was one of the cutest little actors in the old Jack-in-the-box commercials…then he grew up.

I had forgotten all about him and had to look him up!

First Sally, do you have any information on where he was headed and where I begin to look for him?

Such touching concern for CB’s welfare is what we’d expect from the Snoopster. Maybe he’ll care a little more around suppertime.

Another child star of the 1974 time was Mason Reese. And the most recent famous child star of my opinion is Atticus Schafer who played the kid named Brick Heck in the 2009-2018 sitcom “The Middle”. Brick Heck always whispered certain words and liked san-sariff fonts.

I had to think for a moment. The name I knew right away, but couldn’t picture him. It took me a minute….still can’t remember what product/ad he was associated with. Guess I’ll need Google after all.

Dining at Jack in the Box, Snoopy?

Dogs have weird dreams.

I hate that, when you wale up in the middle of an interesting dream. Never get to see what the end was. I guess that’s not unique to humans, but canines have it happen, too ; )

Snoopy was probably thinking about having a Jumbo Jack for dinner. That Jack in the Box campaign was a little over 50 years ago, as I recall.

I happened to notice Schulz was able to make Sally look concerned about her brother in the second panel with just a few subtle changes in the way he drew her face, mostly her eyes. I think it’s really impressive for such a minimalist drawing.

Who was he dreaming about?

BTW- No one else mentioned, Rodney is still alive @52.

This is one of the rare occasions where Schultz mentions contemporary culture. Other than that the strip is timeless and as funny and meaningful as it ever was.

My wife and I have used “too bigga eat”, the line from a Jack-In-The-Box commercial for which he was famous, for decades. And no, not in that context, sadly.

Now that’s a bit of a blast from the past.

Poor roundhead has lousy sibling and a spoilt puppy as a pet. I an still wondering how his application to stay home was rejected and commanded to board the bus for the damn camp.

Apparently, there’s been none of that “former child star syndrome” with Mr. Rippy. He’s done very well for himself.
